About Ulmavi

At Ulmavi, we pay attention to the visual language of woven objects: the steady rhythm of crossing fibers, the curve of a carrying handle, and the contrast between a firm rim and a flexible body. The photographs gathered here show baskets in many settings, from a flower-filled field and a shaded wooden bench to a busy workshop and a clean tabletop. Some forms are tightly woven and sculptural; others remain open, light, and visibly irregular. Their contents also change the composition. Pale roses soften dark wicker, green apples brighten warm cane, and fresh leaves echo the linear patterns beneath them. Rather than treating baskets as isolated objects, this collection considers how they relate to hands, rooms, landscapes, and daily work. Each image offers a grounded study of proportion, surface, light, and use, showing how a familiar woven form can become a strong visual anchor without losing its practical character.

Following the photographs

The collection brings together photographs and short editorial observations. Captions describe what can be seen; the notes offer a way to compare details without claiming a complete history of each object.
